One time, after a service at St Peter's, we were talking about acting out the story of Jesus healing the leper. I have no idea why, but that was the conversation topic. I said I should play the leper because my skin was so bad/spotty. Beautiful Zena - and she was gorgeous - was baffled; she said she hadn't even noticed. To someone who was feeling wretched about how they looked at that time, that comment was so encouraging, and I've told this story to my daughters when they have also worried about their appearance. It's what's inside that counts...
